   3rd Int'l Workshop on Deontic Logic in Computer Science, DEON'96
                 Lisbon, Portugal, 11-13 January, 1996

  The previous workshops (DEON'91, Amsterdam, and DEON'94, Oslo) have
brought together people working on various aspects of deontic logic
and closely related areas of investigation, and their applications in
computer science and public and private administration. With DEON'96
we propose to broaden the emphasis slightly, to encourage --even more
than in the past-- contributions on the logic of action and its
applications, and to encourage participation by linguists. The workshop
is open to all those interested, subject to availability of places.
  *Scientific Contents* The Program Committee seeks papers concerning:
 1. any theoretical aspects of deontic logic and language, or
 2. any aspects of the applications of deontic logic in computer
    science and in public or private administration.
  Detailed lists of related areas are in the full version of this Call.
  *Submission* Five hard copies, double-spaced, max. 20 pages, to be
sent to one of the two co-chairs of the Program Committee. Electronic
submissions not accepted.  Submissions will be judged on significance,
originality, quality and clarity. Reviewing will be blind to the
identities of the authors. See the full version of this Call for

  *Dates* subm: May 15, 1995; notif: July 15, 1995; final: Oct. 1, 1995
  *Publication* Proceedings available at the workshop. We hope that, as
in the case of the previous workshops, selected papers will also appear
in a major international journal or by a major international publisher.
