The Institut für Informatik of the Universität Hildesheim seeks a candidate for a C1 position (Scientific Assistant) starting April 1, 1995. The position is temporary for three years, with a possibility of extension for another three years. Candidates are required to know, or be willing to learn, the German language. They should be promoted in a subject closely related to Theoretical Computer Science. They are also assumed to be willing to assist in the regular computer science curriculum.
The possibility to write a Habilitation Thesis is offered. The Institut provides excellent research facilities. The group's active research interests include the verification and the semantics of parallel systems. The candidate's interests do not have to coincide with these topics; we are also looking to strengthen our group in the areas of complexity and parallel algorithms. Hildesheim is a small town of slightly more than 100 000 inhabitants providing a very good environment for accommodation and leisure. The C1 salary depends on personal circumstances.
