        Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, University of Birmingham

  Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 
on an EPSRC funded project "Reasoning with Fairness" concerned with the
study of processes under environmental constraints.  Applicants should 
have a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics and have knowledge of: 
process calculi, denotational semantics and/or process logics.

  The School of Computer Science is undergoing a programme of 
diversification and expansion.  It is currently being developed in 
three areas: Theoretical Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and 
Software Engineering.  The School is in the process of appointing a 
Professor, who is likely to be in Theory or Software Engineering, with 
a further appointment in the other area to follow in the near future.
