The Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science (FOCS), on Mathematical Foundations of Computing, will be held in Milwaukee on Oct. 23-25, 1995. Original research on theoretical aspects of computer science are sought. Typical but not exclusive topics of interest include: algorithms and data structures, complexity theory, computational algebra and geometry, computational biology, cryptography, databases, machine learning, algorithmic graph theory, applications of logic, parallel and distributed computation, probabilistic computations, computer architectures, and robotics.

Abstract submission: Authors should send sixteen (16) copies of an extended abstract (not a full paper) to:

Important Dates: Notification: The abstract (whether sent by hard copy or by electronic submission) must be received by 23:59 EST April 26, 1995 (or postmarked by April 20, 1995 and sent via airmail or express mail). This is a firm deadline. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by a letter mailed by June 30, 1995. A final copy is required by August 10, 1995. This is again a firm deadline.
