           X Latin American Symposium on Mathematical Logic
                  Bogota, Colombia, July 24-29, 1995

  The Tenth Latin American Symposium on Mathematical Logic will be held
in Bogota from July 24 to 29, 1995, sponsored by the Universidad de 
los Andes, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the Association 
for Symbolic Logic. The main areas of the Symposium will be: Model 
theory and its applications, Set theory and its applications, Algebraic
logic and non-classical logics, Applications of logic to computer 
science, Mathematical Logic in science and philosophy.
  *Conference:* The following is a partial list of invited speakers who
have agreed to participate in the meeting: Andreas Blass (Ann Arbor), 
Joan Bagaria (Barcelona), Willem Blok (Chicago), Walter Carnielli 
(Campinas), Joerg Flum (Freiburg), Sy Friedman (Boston), Lauri Hella 
(Helsinki), Ward Henson (Urbana), Jerome Keisler (Madison), Michal 
Krynicki (Warsaw), Kenneth Kunen (Madison) E.G.K. Lopez-Escobar 
(College Park), Marcin Mostowski (Warsaw), Daniele Mundici (Milano), 
Juha Oikkonen (Helsinki), Anand Pillay (Notre Dame), Gonzalo Reyes

  *Short Courses:* July 17-22. In the week previous to the meeting, a
workshop will be held, centered around four courses given by A. Blass
(Cardinal Characteristics of the Continuum), W. Blok (Algebraic Logic),
J. Flum (Finite Model Theory), and A. Pillay (Model Theory of Algebra).
  *Dates:* Abstracts of contributed papers will be received until April
15, 1995; decisions on their acceptance will be communicated by May 15.
