Research Studentships in Computer Science

Applications are invited from graduates with a first or upper second
class degree in Computer Science for three research studentships, as
outlined below:

Preference for one studentship will be given to candidates whose
interests are in the area of Declarative Systems, for example,
novel techniques for implementation of concurrent programme
languages on sequential and parallel machines.

A second studentship is a CASE award with Norwich Union
investigating the use of Object Oriented techniques in information
systems.

A third studentship is associated with a group researching in the
broad area of the analysis of data from human-computer interaction.
The studentships for 1) and 2) above are available immediately and
candidates must be able to start before April 1995. Studentship 3) will
