Its goal is to give an overview of recent research lines in the field of parallel algorithms and their efficient implementation on parallel computers. It is addressed to graduate students and postdocs with knowledge or interest in parallel algorithms, especially to those involved in the above projects. *Location:* In order to minimize the cost for the participants the school will take place in Paderborn near the university, and accommodation (single room, double room on request,shower and rest-rooms on the corridor) will be provided about 30km away from Paderborn. A bus service between the sites will be offered to the participants. *Lectures:* The program will consist of six lectures of about 3 to 4 hours each. Speakers include Jean-Claude Bermond (Nice), Michel Cosnard (Lyon), Alan Gibbons (Warwick), Juraj Hromkovic (Kiel), Friedhelm Meyer auf der Heide (Paderborn), Burkhard Monien (Paderborn). *Talks and Discussions:* One afternoon is reserved for short talks given by the participants, discussions, and presentations of open problems. Participants willing to give a talk should send an abstract of at most 2 pages written in LaTeX by email to spring@uni-paderborn.de *Fees:* The fee is 520.-DM for registrations before March 17th and 550.-DM for late registrations. The fee covers accommodation, lectures, full board, reception, conference dinner and printed information. For forty participants from the above projects a grant of 400.-DM is available.
