                       9-month Lecturer Position
 Department of Computer Science, Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA

  The Department of Computer Science at Rice University announces an
opening for a non-tenure track, full-time, 9-month Lecturer position.
  This is a one-year position, starting with the 1995-6 academic year
with the strong possibility of renewal for up to three years,
depending on performance and availability of funds.
  Duties consist of teaching a variety of courses in computer science
including an introductory course using Scheme, as well as interacting
with students outside the classroom.
  Qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science or an MS in
Computer Science and substantial teaching experience.  Demonstrated
commitment to teaching is essential.  Candidates should be interested
in the research programs already active at Rice. For information
