             Telecommunities '95: "Equity on the Internet"
          University of Victoria, Canada, August 19-23, 1995

  In August the Victoria Free-Net Association and the University of
Victoria have hosted Telecommunities '95 -- a conference where members
of Canadian and international telecommunities could discuss technical,
legal, political and organizational trends and problems in Internet
communications.

  In preparation for the conference we have posted a page on the World
Wide Web, with important registration and program information about
Telecommunities '95 as well as general entertainment and travel tips.
We have also been posting pages with valuable resource information for
Free-Net users, like a comprehensive list of Canadian Free-Nets and
their addresses on the web and discussion papers on Free-Net use.

  We hope that you will help us promote Telecommunities '95 by posting
a notice about the conference in your web pages, or note our address in
any discussion groups, newsletters or news groups that you belong to.
