Software Engineers

The Service de Mathematiques de la Gestion (SMG) of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles is currently looking for software engineers.

The SMG is a department of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles devoted to research in Operations Research and Decision Aid Systems. Around September 95, it will start an applied research project in the field of long term human resources scheduling in collaboration with two private companies. We are looking for flexible software specialists who can perform activities ranging from research, analysis, design and implementation to support and training.

The applicants will have:

• a degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related topic;
• a good knowledge of Unix, C++, object-oriented design and analysis;
• a strong interest for problem-solving software;
• at least 2 year of a work experience in software development;
• good communication skills in at least two of the following languages: English, Dutch, French.

A working experience in constraint-based reasoning or related AI techniques, knowledge of ILOG SOLVER and ILOG VIEWS C++ class libraries, experience in scheduling systems and combinatorial problems and knowledge of RDBMS are desirable.
