Applications are invited for a one-year definite term Post-Doc position at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Waterloo. The research of the candidate to fill the position should address the general area of graphical and visual specification methods in the context of object-oriented analysis and design methods for concurrent real-time systems. Candidates should have research experience and/or interest in most of the following areas
An aptitude for programming and knowledge of C++ and/or Smalltalk are desirable. The research will be carried out in close cooperation with a leading Canadian software tool development company (ObjecTime).
To be considered for the position, candidates must have a PhD (or expect to receive one by the start date) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field, and a previous research record of high quality. The start date is flexible but preferably before July 1, 1996. Depending on the availability of funds, the position may be renewable.
