[J4] ================================================ AMAST Links 03 01 Software Engineers wanted C++ / constraint programming / OO / Unix / Brussels The Service de Mathematiques de la Gestion (SMG) of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is currently looking for software engineers. The SMG is a department of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) devoted to research in Operations Research and Decision Aid Systems. On April 1, 1996, it will start an applied research project in the field of long term human resources scheduling in collaboration with two private companies. This project will involve constraint-based reasoning techniques, object-orientation and advanced GUI design. We are currently looking for flexible software specialists who can perform activities ranging from research, analysis, design and implementation to support and training. These positions offer the opportunity to gather experience with innovative technologies and to apply it to practical problems in the industry. The applicants will have: o a degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related topic o a good knowledge of Unix, C++, object-oriented design and analysis o a strong interest in problem-solving software o significant work experience in software development (>= 2 years) o good communication skills in at least two of English, Dutch, French The following skills are also desired: o experience in constraint-based reasoning or related AI techniques o knowledge of ILOG SOLVER and ILOG VIEWS C++ class libraries o experience in scheduling systems and combinatorial problems o knowlegde of RDBMS If you wish to join our team, send your resume.
