CALL FOR APPLICATION
Research Grants in Computer Science
Topic: Theory of Graph Transformation Systems
FIRST DEADLINE: July 31, 1996
(The call remains open until
all vacancies are covered)
GENERAL INFORMATION
===================
GETGRATS (General Theory of Graph Transformation Systems) is a TMR
network consisting of seven research groups, listed here together with
the corresponding team leader:
1) University of Antwerp - UIA (Belgium): Prof. Dr. Dirk Janssens
2) Technische Universitaet Berlin - TUB (Germany): Prof. Dr. Hartmut
Ehrig
3) Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique - LaBRI (France):
Dr. Michel Bauderon
4) Universitaet Bremen - UNIBREMEN (Germany): Prof. Dr. Hans-Joerg
Kreowski
5) University of Leiden - RUL (The Netherlands): Prof. Dr. Grzegorz
Rozenberg
6) Universita' di Pisa - UNIPISA (Italy) [main contractor]: Prof. Ugo
Montanari
7) Universita' di Roma La Sapienza - UNIROMA1 (Italy):
Prof. Dr. Francesco Parisi Presicce
The Network Coordinator is Andrea Corradini (Pisa).
The aim of the project is to develop a General Theory of Graph
Transformation Systems (GTS) by solidifying the use of mathematics in
their study and regarding them as the objects of discourse and
interest. Particular emphasis will be placed on the comparison,
combination, and unification of the various approaches to graph
rewriting, where the involved partners have considerable expertise.
GETGRATS is a TMR Network funded by the European Commission. A major
goal of TMR networks is to provide an excellent environment for the
training of young researchers. The above listed GETGRATS sites are
looking for young researchers having interests in topics related to
Graph Transformation Systems. Grants for a total of about 85 months
are offered in this call for the first half of the project, from
September 1996 to February 1998.
Detailed information concerning the GETGRATS network, the offered
grants, the requirements for the perpective candidates, and the
instructions for the applications can be found on the Web at
