REFOCUS of CAVE WORKSHOP DECEMBER 3/4



Dear CAVE Invitees,


It has become clear, following the response to the call for contributions to
the CAVE Workshop in December, that there is far more interest in discussions
of a strategic nature than sessions with a purely technical content.

Therefore the CAVE Committee has decided to concentrate the December Workshop
on discussions on predictions and the future path of CAD in Europe.  In this
way, more people will contribute to the EDAA Design Technology Roadmap
Activity, which in turn will form the basis for European investments both by
the Commission and industry.

The meeting will run from 16.00 Tuesday December 3rd to 16.00 Wednesday 4th in
Turnhout, Belgium. Anyone who wants to participate has to contact Herman Beke
as soon as possible, but definitely before November 15.  It is important to
register in advance, but there is no registration fee. The only cost paid by
the attendees will be bed and breakfast in Hotel Viane (about 3000BF) .

The CAVE committee has further decided that future CAVE Workshops will
concentrate on similar meetings of a strategic nature. To further detail this
new direction a  fringe meeting will be held in Paris in March, during ED&TC
97. You are invited to come to that meeting.
