MFPS 14 Second Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
The fourteenth Workshop on the Mathematical Foundations of Programming
Semantics will take place on the campus of Queen Mary and Westfield College
of the University of London from May 10 til May 13, 1998. The invited
speakers include Samson Abramsky (Edinburgh), Chantale Berline (University
of Paris), Martin Hyland (Cambridge), John McLean (NRL) and David Pym
(QMW). There will be two special sessions, one on security featuring talks
by Andrew Gordon (Cambridge), A. W. Roscoe (Oxford), Steve Schneider (Royal
Holloway) and Kim Wagner (Mondex International), and the other devoted to
honoring Peter Landin.
Registration information can be found at the MFPS 14 home page,
http://www.math.tulane.edu/mfps14.html. There is an on-line registration
form. Persons interested in attending MFPS are urged to register as soon as
possible, although the deadline is not until early April. If you would like
to present a contributed talk, then send a title and short abstract for
your talk to mfps@math.tulane.edu.
We hope to be able to provide some limited support for graduate students
to attend the meeting, especially those contributing talks, as well as for
women and minority participants. However, definite information won't be
available until we know the results of our funding applications. If you
would like to attend but cannot without assistance, send us email at
mfps@math.tulane.edu detailing your needs, and we will respond as soon as
possible.
Best regards,
Mike Mislove
