University Lecturer, Application Protocols m/f (vacancy number

You hold a PhD and/or have experience in the area of 
telematics, telecommunications and Open Distributed
Systems. Your strong didactic skills will be an advantage 
in this dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

This post, called 'Universitair Docent' in Dutch, 
is equivalent to 'Assistant Professor' in the American 
system or 'Lecturer' in the British system.

Salary: up to maximum of f 8429 per month.

Duties: Teaching, research, administrative duties; including
 - lecturing in area of telematics (including course on Application
Protocols)
 - supervision of masters and PhD students

Your research interests include some of the following: 
 - security architectures and mechanisms
 - (adaptive) Quality of Service mechanisms
 - generic application building blocks (services and protocols) 
 - middleware
 - web technologies
 - internet
 - configurable and adaptive services
 - integration of multimedia services
You are familiar with the relevant standards bodies.
 
The application domains of interest to APS group include
 - telelearning
 - telemedicine
 - e-commerce 
 - logistics
